ANZAC Biscuits at the Crowne Plaza, Surfers Paradise QLD

We were pleasantly surprised when on our departure in the Reception foyer of our hotel, there was a table with a tray of Anzac biscuits for guests to sample, some rosemary sprigs to pin on, and the Original Anzac biscuit recipe to take home.

Upon checkout, each guest received an ANZAC commemorative pin. For each pin the Crowne Plaza is donating $5.00 to the QLD ANZAC Day Commemoration Committee. A kind and thoughtful gesture for those of us unable to attend a service today.

I am in desperate need to bake something after being away from home for two weeks, so this is the perfect recipe! Enjoy!

A big thank you to the Crowne Plaza at Surfers Paradise in Queensland.

  1. Wow that’s awesome. Yesterday we went to the dawn service and then watched the choir sing up at the Caboolture service. Needed a nap by the afternoon! We just finished making ANZAC biscuits. I’m also baking a sticky date pudding. Now for the caramel sauce. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay in QLD and had a good trip home. x
