Review: My Dad Thinks He’s Funny by Katrina Germein

We were fortunate to listen to Katrina Germein read her hilarious book at Adelaide Writers’ Week, in the Big Red Story Tent.

It appeals to the whole family as the familiarity of the “things Dads say” spills out of the book, and you are likely to be rolling around in laughter.

It is light, funny, and shows the lovely, light-hearted connection kids have with their Dads.

Our favourite line……

And whenever we’re about to cut up a cake for dessert, Dad says,

“Well, there’s my piece. What’s everyone else having?”

To my delight, DD read the book with much expression, and many giggles that night in bed. We will be looking out for Katrina’s newly released book……My Mum Says The Strangest Things, for more laughs!
